Kind, calm, noble, and joyful. Affectionate and well-mannered. She gets along well with both adults and children. Sociable with other dogs, living peacefully in a pack in the yard.

History

Duna was “surrendered” by her owner… that’s the gentlest way to describe what really happened. In this land of hunters, we know all too well what becomes of dogs once hunting season ends and they’re no longer needed.

We’re “grateful” that her fate wasn’t worse—many others suffer a tragic end. For Duna, a new life is now beginning—one far away from the exploitation and abuse that this breed too often endures in our country.

We hope with all our hearts that soon she’ll become a true family dog and leave her hunting past behind forever.
