Character

Active, gentle, sweet-natured, cheerful, and always smiling. He couldn’t be more affectionate—he’ll stick by your side for cuddles, and if you ignore him, he’ll go find someone else to get the affection he’s after. Excellent with adults and children. Very sociable with other dogs—he shares a yard with no issues at all.

History

Nothing new under the sun… Canuto was surrendered by his hunter owner when he was no longer “useful” for hunting. In this region, known for hunting traditions, greyhounds are often seen as disposable tools. We’re grateful, at least, that the owner contacted us instead of abandoning him—or worse, ending his life in cruelty, as sadly happens too often.

Now Canuto is safe with us, but he urgently needs to start a new life filled with joy. In our country, greyhounds are born to suffer. That’s the reality we’re changing for Canuto. We hope our biggest wish comes true soon: to see him curled up on a couch or in a big, cozy bed. 😉
