Still slightly shy—she arrived very frightened—but her foster home tells us she’s adapted perfectly and is now happy and content. House-trained; she waits to be taken out for her needs. Very kind, affectionate, and lively. Gets along well with adults and children. Sociable with other dogs she currently lives with.

History

Peña was found alone in a picnic area where a well-known local pilgrimage takes place. She was completely on her own and infested with parasites. Despite her fear, she seemed to sense that the girl whispering to her could help—and she responded to the call.

The girl picked her up in her arms and didn’t hesitate to welcome her into her home, where Peña has remained ever since.

Now, all that’s missing is another family willing to open their heart and home to this sweet, loving girl—forever.
