Character
Kind, balanced, calm, and affectionate. When he first arrived at our shelter, he seemed a bit shy—likely due to the sudden change, as he had been in foster care on a small plot of land. He’s a loving dog, good with both adults and children. Sociable with other dogs—he got along well with those in his foster home and with the ones in his shelter yard.
History
The phone rings… it’s the police. We brace ourselves—these calls never bring good news. They tell us a dog has been tied to a post on a roadside nearby. It was the middle of the Christmas holidays, with hardly any volunteers and a very delicate situation at the shelter. Still, we rushed to find a foster home for him while we tried to get back on our feet.
Things haven’t improved much since, and unfortunately, the foster family could no longer care for him. So now Tom is officially part of our big family.
But Tom needs more than we can currently offer—he’s a gentle, loving soul who simply needs the security and stability of a real home to show what a wonderful dog he truly is.
